I hail from the Midlands and chased all things Sulzer throughout the Midlands around the early 80's (Oh well you can't account for taste!) However once the last cross country services went over to 47's and the Peaks were no more on the MML. I too lost interest in the Railway scene for almost 15 years! In that time I didn't photograph things that in hindsight I wish I had!! The last 47's on the cross country services! The last 56's and 58's on their various diagrams! 37's on the North Wales Coast! And many, many other things besides! So having upgraded from my original Praktica MTL3 to various Digital outfits I spend a lot of time capturing todays railway scene, with the preservation of Diesels being fairly high on the priorities! This gallery is dedicated to the various Gala and Centers and shows hopefully a transition from the purely haulage weekends I had to one of more lineside phortography!
